Abstract

This study aims to identify the scientific methodology of Ibn al-Amir al-San’ani in his book Al-‘Adda on the book Ihkam al-Ahkam Sharh Umdat al-Ahkam (Book of Prayer), and to introduce Ibn Daqiq al-Eid - the author of the text - and Ibn al-Amir al-San’ani - the commentator of the text - and to clarify their era and scientific status, in addition to revealing the scientific wealth contained in the book, in the section devoted to the study, since the book collected sciences. Religion in general, and the science of hadith in particular, and the research method depends on studying the hadiths mentioned in the book Ihkam al-Ahkam in the specific section - the Book of Prayer - and grading them scientifically, citing the issues that Ibn al-Amir al-San’ani discussed or referred to, and studying the topic that is the focus of these hadiths with a jurisprudential and hadith study.

The research topic deals with the methodology of Ibn al-Amir al-San’ani in the book al-‘Uddah. I first dealt with the definition of the author and the commentator, then I mentioned some examples of the author’s scientific methodology, such as: his method of biographies of prominent figures, the graduation of hadiths and their rulings, his method of presenting jurisprudential issues, and citing the scholars’ disagreement on them.

Among the results I have reached: The book brings together the sciences of Islamic law in jurisprudence, as well as hadith and its sciences through the graduation of hadiths and the rulings on them, in addition to the translation of the notables mentioned in it, as well as the sciences of language through clarifying and explaining the meanings of strange words and rhetorical formulas and explaining what is meant by them. The presence of these sciences - the sciences of Sharia and language - in the commentary of Ibn al-Amir al-San’ani is among the understanding and knowledge that God Almighty has bestowed upon him, and it is evidence of the precision and abundance of his knowledge

Abstract

This research addresses a key issue in classical Arabic grammatical thought: grammatical reasoning. Early grammarians were deeply engaged in explaining various linguistic phenomena. The study examines this issue through two prominent figures in Arabic grammar, Sibawayh (d. 180 AH) and Al-Mubarrad (d. 285 AH), in their respective works, Al-Kitab and Al-Muqtaḍab. It employs a historical methodology that analyzes examples of reasoning in both texts, highlights the characteristics of each scholar's reasoning approach, and explores the differences between them and the reasons behind these differences. It also considers the perspectives on reasoning among grammarians between these two figures. The study investigates reasoning from multiple aspects, such as alignment with the inherent nature of language, reliance on rational, logical, and philosophical arguments, the role of reasoning in the grammarian's work, methodology used, and the attitude toward differing reasoning approaches by other grammarians. The study concludes with several findings, most notably the evolution of grammatical reasoning among grammarians after Sibawayh, with a shift away from the inherent nature of language toward a more rational, logical, and philosophical approach

Abstract

The research aimed to identify the obstacles to developing university education programs for students with disabilities in the Republic of Yemen. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher used the descriptive survey method and applied a questionnaire consisting of (15) paragraphs to a purposive sample of (91) individuals, including faculty members, administrators and students with disabilities. The data were analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. The research reached several results, the most important of which are: the high overall average of the sample members’ responses to the obstacles to developing university education programs for students with disabilities in the Republic of Yemen, as it came at a large degree at the level of the tool as a whole, with an arithmetic mean of (3.99) and a standard deviation of (589). The results showed a shortage in funding and the cessation of financial allocations for the departments of teaching students with disabilities at the Yemeni university, and a delay in keeping pace with Yemeni universities in developing university education programs for students with disabilities. It also showed the absence of statistically significant differences at a significance level of (0.05) between the averages of the sample’s responses attributed to the variables (disability and qualification), while statistically significant differences were found attributed to the variable Sex in favor of males

Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a proposed program based on active learning strategies in developing attitudes towards the teaching profession among Islamic education teachers in the secondary stage in the capital secretariat of Sana'a. The descriptive approach (construction and development method) was used to build the proposed program and its implementation guides, and the quasi-experimental approach was used to design the experimental and control groups and the pre and post-measurements. The study sample consisted of (40) female Islamic education teachers, randomly divided into two equal groups, one control and one experimental. A training program based on active learning strategies was developed and applied to the experimental group during the academic year 2023/2024. The researchers used a measure of attitude towards the teaching profession, consisting of (24) paragraphs. The results showed:

There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-application of the attitude measure, with the differences in favor of the experimental group.

There were differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre and post-application of the attitude measure, with the differences in favor of the post-application.

The results also showed that the program based on the active learning strategy was highly effective in developing positive attitudes towards the teaching profession among the members of the experimental group, with a corrected gain score of 1.3, which is higher than the value of 1.2 set by Black for high effectiveness.

The study recommended the need to enhance positive attitudes among Islamic education teachers at all educational levels towards teaching Islamic education effectively and enthusiastically to achieve its desired goals.

Abstract

The problem of this study comes from the fact that it deals with the relationship of the Zionist organization with the colonial conspiracies that targeted Palestine and the Levant between the years 1914-1922 AD, through tracing the colonial competition over this region, and understanding the nature of the British role. This study provides an answer to the following questions: What is the relationship between Zionism and the ruling elite in Britain, and also what was the impact of the Zionist-British relationship on the succession of colonial agreements that targeted Palestine at the time? This study aims to answer the following main question: How was Zionist diplomacy able to weave its relationship with the colonial states and with the Arab leaderships in order to achieve its goals? The importance of this study stems from the fact that it gives us a complete vision of the nature of the Zionist political and practical mind since the beginning of its practice of diplomatic work. In order to achieve its objectives, the study relied on the descriptive analytical approach to historical events and phenomena. The study was divided into three sections, as follows: Section One: The environments that paved the way for Britain’s relationship with the Arabs and the Zionists. Section Two: The success of British diplomacy. Section Three: The betrayal of the allies towards the Arabs or understandings that were agreed upon. The study reached several results and recommendations, the most prominent of which is: the necessity of standing in the face of the Zionist project and preventing it from continuing to advance, on the condition of liberation from the approach of work, thinking and management that is still prevalent among many Palestinian and Arab political elites. Several meetings and correspondence took place between representatives of Zionist Britain and the sons of Sharif Hussein, which resulted in mutual agreements. Despite the conflict of interests between these three parties, and despite their conflict with the interests of French influence, Britain was able to conclude secret and public agreements with each party separately, and was able to strengthen its alliances during the First World War.

Abstract

The research aims to clarify the impact of security obstacles on tourism in Yemen from 1990 to 2023. To this end, the historical descriptive and analytical method was utilized.

The study divided the security impacts on tourism in Yemen into two stages in which the security factors and causes that hindered the development and progress of tourism are similar:

The stage from (1990 - 2014), the security imbalances occurred during this stage was characterized by the kidnapping of tourists and foreign workers, as well as bombings and other acts of terrorism targeting tourists. These incidents had direct consequences including a decline in the number of tourists visiting Yemen, which subsequently led to a decrease in tourism revenues that provided the country with foreign currency.

The research concluded that the instability and insecurity at this stage are due to the security imbalances that followed the “Yemeni Unity” as a result of political conflicts between the poles of power, the state’s weakness in carrying out its security duty, and its failure to distribute service projects. As well as the impact of external interventions that aimed to destabilize the security and stability of the country, in addition, some tribes use destabilization as a means of pressure on the state to achieve its demands by building projects in their areas or releasing prisoners belonging to those tribes.

The stage from 2015 to 2023, this period witnessed a complete deterioration and cessation of the tourism sector in all its aspects due to the aggression and blockade imposed on Yemen. Not only a halt in the tourism sector, but also the destruction of numerous archaeological, touristic, and historical sites and facilities

Abstract

The association of education with the term critical thinking has contributed to the emergence of the concept of critical education or critical pedagogy. Critical thinking has become an important educational issue because of its role in enriching the teaching-learning process in the first place, and its role in training the learner as a knowledge base whose critical skills lead him to express opinions, make judgements, generate ideas, etc. to enable him to confront many destructive ways of thinking in society, which helps him preserve his culture in the context of the development of the technological age. Since the educational system is an open socio-cultural system, based on philosophical, scientific, educational, psychological and social theories. It is bound to encounter a number of imbalances, constraints and pressures that reduce the realisation of its concerted objectives and limit its effectiveness. Abstract

This study examines the unique grammatical perspectives of Ibn Falah Al-Yamani, a prominent Yemeni grammarian known for his distinctive contributions to Arabic grammar. His views set him apart from other scholars, making him one of the most influential grammarians in Yemen over the centuries.

The research aims to identify and analyze the grammatical theories exclusive to Ibn Falah, explore his methodological approach, and evaluate their impact on linguistic studies. The study adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology to systematically examine his perspectives and their implications.

Structurally, the research is organized into an introduction, which outlines the study’s objectives and scope, followed by a background section that provides an overview of Ibn Falah’s life, works, and key terminologies. The main discussion is divided into four sections: Foundational Grammatical Concepts: Ibn Falah’s unique interpretations of core grammatical principles, Sentence Structure and Syntax: His distinctive views on verbal sentences and grammatical constructions, Sentence Complements: His novel contributions to adjuncts and modifiers, The Role of Particles: His original perspectives on the usage and function of grammatical particles.

Abstract

This research aims to introduce Judge Ali Bahnan and his book “Nile Al-Maqsoud” and to spread his great knowledge. And highlighting his approach in his book, and I have investigated (Chapter: Fasting while traveling) from the book of fasting from this valuable book called Nael Al-Maqsoud, an explanation of Sunan Abi Dawood, and the researcher used the inductive approach with its descriptive and analytical aspects, and the comparative and historical approach, and this research was divided into two requirements, the first requirement included defining Judge Bahnan and his book Nael Al-Maqsoud, and the second requirement investigated (Chapter: Fasting while traveling) from the book of fasting from the book Nael Al-Maqsoud, and the research came to highlight the scholars of Muslims in general and the scholars of Yemen in particular, and to introduce them and their scientific effort in serving the Sunnah of the Prophet, as well as to highlight the opinions of scholars on the rulings of fasting while traveling, and the research concluded with the most prominent results: The book Nael Al-Maqsoud represents an important reference for those who want to know everything related to the hadith in terms of the men of the chain of transmission, the degree of the hadith, clarifying the strange words, the rulings contained in it, and clarifying the accuracy of Judge Bahnan, when graduating the hadiths, collecting their paths, and attributing them to their sources, as well as Judge Bahnan’s mention of the differences between the scholars of criticism and authentication in the narrator of the hadith, and follows the discussion by relying on Ibn Hajar’s statement in Al-Taqreeb, as he collected the statements of those who preceded him from the people of the art and the narrator has the final say, and Judge Bahnan used the famous hadith abbreviations among the scholars of the art, and he may differ from them and mention the full wording, and I did not find him expressing this methodology in his introduction

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a performance evaluation in Yemeni companies through the integration of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Benchmarking (BM) to enhance strategic performance. This was achieved by reviewing the shortcomings of traditional financial performance measures in Yemeni companies, the extent to which the integration of BSC and BM covers the areas that need to be developed in performance evaluation for Yemeni companies, the availability of an application environment for their Integration to develop performance evaluation for Yemeni companies, and the extent to which their integration contributes to enhancing the strategic performance of Yemeni companies. The study data was collected using a questionnaire designed for this purpose based on the results of previous studies in this field, and was directed to a sample of academics and legal accountants in the Republic of Yemen, the number of respondents reached 78 persons.

The results showed that academics and legal accountants agree with the study on the shortcomings of traditional financial performance measures in evaluating the performance of Yemeni companies, due to the failure of the traditional approach based on financial measures to respond to technological and competitive developments in the modern environment. The results also showed that the integration of BSC and BM covers the areas that need to be developed in performance evaluation for Yemeni companies, to translate the strategy into a comprehensive set of financial and non-financial performance measures that work to communicate the strategy to all employees of the organization, and also the availability of an application environment for their integration to develop performance evaluation for Yemeni companies. The results also showed that the Integration between them contributes to enhancing the strategic performance of Yemeni companies, due to the multiplicity and diversity of performance measures and their comprehensiveness of all aspects that represent the organization's performance as a whole, which gives a clear picture that enables the measurement of Its efficiency and effectiveness

Impact of Strategic Planning on Total Quality Management in the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology – Yemen

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of strategic planning, with its dimensions (environmental analysis, strategic orientation, strategy formulation, strategy implementation, and strategic control), on Total Quality Management (TQM), with its dimensions (top management commitment, teamwork, quality management systems, and continuous improvement), within the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority (CAMA) in Yemen.

To achieve the study’s objectives, the descriptive-analytical method was employed. Data were collected using a questionnaire as the primary tool, targeting employees of CAMA and its affiliated entities located in the Capital - Sana'a. The study population comprised 90 employees. Due to the limited size of the population, a comprehensive survey approach was adopted. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).

The study yielded several findings, most notably: both strategic planning and TQM levels at the Authority were assessed as moderate. Furthermore, the results revealed that strategic planning had no statistically significant impact on the implementation of TQM within CAMA

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the impact of supply chain management on the effectiveness of operations in humanitarian organizations in Yemen, to know the level of practice of supply chain management in the humanitarian sector in Yemen, and to know the practical level of practice of humanitarian operations in Yemen. The research followed the quantitative approach and the questionnaire tool to collect data. The research community consisted of all workers in 137 humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen. Given the difficulty of determining the total number of workers in these organizations, a sample of 250 individuals from among those working in the purchasing and logistics departments was selected using the stratified random sampling method, and then the sample was selected randomly to ensure representation of the various organizations and their departments.The research results concluded that supply chain management has a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of operations in humanitarian organizations in Yemen. The research presented several recommendations, including that each humanitarian organization should have a supply chain manager with extensive experience in both humanitarian procurement and logistics for better management. And that supply chain management should be active and well-organized by adhering to the organizations' standard operating procedures, especially those related to the supply chain department

Abstract

Sustainability has evolved from being an optional consideration to a mandatory requisite, particularly in light of the excessive exploitation of natural resources by developed nations in pursuit of profitability. This overconsumption has necessitated a shift towards sustainable practices, often prioritized through lean manufacturing, which is closely tied to profitability. However, this shift presents significant challenges for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), especially in developing countries, where the adoption of essential capabilities such as effective leadership is critical to addressing these issues. This study explores the relationship between transformational leadership and the environmental performance (EP) of manufacturing SMEs in Yemen, adopting a multidimensional approach. Data were gathered from 199 managers and owners of SMEs through a structured survey questionnaire, and the analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling. The findings, derived using PLS 4.0, reveal a positive and significant influence of individual consideration on EP, while other dimensions of transformational leadership—charisma, inspirational motivation, and intellectual stimulation—do not exhibit a significant effect on EP. These results provide actionable recommendations for stakeholders aiming to enhance the environmental performance of SMEs through targeted leadership strategies

Abstract

This study examines the impact of job analysis on employee’s performance in Yemeni Red Crescent Society (YRCS). The researcher adopted a quantitative approach and implemented a hypothetical study to test developed hypotheses and address research questions. The study aims to test the causal relationship between job analysis (independent variable) and employees’ performance (dependent variable). The convenience sampling is the sampling technique employed in this study, and the data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire distributed electronically via WhatsApp and Emails to randomly selected respondents. The collected data, consisting of responses from 183 participants, were analyzed using the SPSS statistical software. The result of this study shows job analysis significantly impacts employees’ performance in (YRCS). Furthermore, the result reveals significant impacts of job description on employees’ performance, and there is a significant impact of job specifications on employees’ performance. Based on the results of the study, several recommendations were made, the most important of which are: The organization should consider updating the job analysis once the employee's status changes in order to ensure high performance, and the organization should enhance the job analysis in the working conditions and environment and explain it clearly to employees

Abstract

This study aims to critically investigate the educational quality of translation program courses offered by public and private universities in Hodeida city, Yemen, with a focus on how the institution type affects the quality of education. The main objective of this study is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of educational quality standards. To collect data for this study, the study employed a Classroom Observation Checklist tool, which includes 30 items distributed across six distinct metrics ranging from curriculum structure to teaching methodologies. Consequently, the collected data was analyzed using the descriptive statistical analysis program (SPSS). The findings revealed that there is a significant difference in educational quality between public and private universities, including content organization and technology integration. Additionally, results found that the effects of the institution type on graduates’ efficiency have valuable insights for students, decision-makers, and curriculum developers and designers alike.
