PDF/A Format

The final, canonical version of each article is preserved in PDF/A format, an ISO-standardized version of PDF specifically designed for long-term archiving and digital preservation.

Structured Metadata

Complete bibliographic metadata for all articles is stored in standardized, machine-readable formats (XML) to ensure future discoverability and interoperability with library systems.

Digital Object Identifiers

Every article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) through Crossref, providing a permanent, resolvable link that persists regardless of URL changes.

Accessibility of Archived Content

Permanent Access Guarantee

The journal guarantees that all archived articles will remain freely accessible in perpetuity, adhering to our open-access principles. Content is preserved for future generations of researchers.

Persistent Identifiers

Every article's DOI provides a permanent, resolvable link to the article, ensuring accessibility regardless of changes to the journal's website URL structure or hosting platform.

Post-Cessation Plan

In the unlikely event that SUJAST ceases publication, our participation in CLOCKSS ensures that the complete digital archive will be automatically triggered and made openly available to the public.

Preservation Responsibilities

Journal's Responsibility

SUJAST is responsible for the initial deposit of content into all preservation systems and for maintaining accurate, preserved metadata throughout the content lifecycle.

University's Role

Sana'a University, as the publisher, provides the necessary infrastructure for the institutional repository and sustains membership in external preservation networks like LOCKSS and CLOCKSS.
