Sana'a University Journal of Applied Sciences and Technology (SUJAST) maintains a regular and timely publication schedule to ensure the rapid dissemination of new research findings to the global scientific community. This policy outlines our publication model, timelines, and issue management.

Monthly Publication
Twelve (12) Issues Per Volume, Per Year

SUJAST is published on a monthly basis, releasing twelve issues per volume, per year. Each volume corresponds to one calendar year (e.g., Volume 2024).

 
Continuous Publication Model

To minimize delays between acceptance and publication, SUJAST operates on a "Continuous Publication" or "Online First" model:

 
Immediate Online Publication
 
Immediate Availability
Once a manuscript is fully accepted, copyedited, and formatted, it is published online in its final version as part of the "Latest Articles" section, even before the formal issue is compiled.
 
Monthly Compilation
At the end of each month, all articles published online during that month are formally compiled into a complete, paginated monthly issue with a table of contents.
 
Immediate Citation
Articles are fully citable from the moment they appear online with their unique Article ID and Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
 
Issue Structure & Access
 
Electronic Format
The journal is published exclusively in electronic (online) format via our official website. There is no print edition, ensuring global accessibility and reduced environmental impact.
 
Open Access
All issues, both current and archival, are permanently and freely accessible in the "Archives" section of the journal website, adhering to our open-access principles.
 
Issue Identification
Each issue is clearly identified by its Volume, Issue Number, Month, and Year for easy reference and citation.

Special Issues

Periodically, the journal may publish Special Issues focused on emerging topics or significant themes. These are integrated into the regular publication schedule and follow the same rigorous peer-review process. Calls for Papers for Special Issues are announced on the journal website and through our notification channels.

All published issues and individual articles are permanently archived to ensure long-term preservation and availability. The journal utilizes digital archiving systems (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS) and is indexed in major databases to guarantee persistent access for future generations of researchers.
