Main Article Content
Abstract
The study aimed to find out the economic impact of conditional cash transfers of nutrition on the development of rural women in Yemen.
The descriptive survey method was adopted in which a questionnaire was developed as a tool to survey the views of (56) beneficiary household of the project of conditional cash transfers of nutrition that attached to the Social Fund.
The study has reached several results, the most important of which is that the conditional cash transfer project in nutrition had a significant impact on the economic level of the beneficiary families. This is evident in the increase in the confidence of the beneficiaries in receiving cash amounts and being able to help their families improve their economic situation. The project also provided employment opportunities for some village girls. However, there are families for whom these transfers are barely enough due to the lack of other sources of income. The results also showed that the war had a negative impact on the economic and living conditions of families, as evidenced by the decline in the nutritional, educational, and health levels. The results of the hypotheses also showed that the project contributed somewhat to raising economic awareness among the families benefiting from the program.
