The Efficacy of an Educational Module-Based Training Program in Enhancing Emotional Education Competencies among Social Studies Teachers at the Basic Stage in the Republic of Yemen

Abstract
This study aims to assess the effectiveness of a training program grounded in educational modules for developing emotional education competencies among social studies teachers at the basic stage in the Republic of Yemen. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a single-group, pre-test and post-test model. The sample comprised purposively selected male and female teachers, totaling 20 participants, including 9 males and 11 females, from social studies departments in schools located in Shibam Kawkaban city. The training program consisted of three integrated educational modules focusing on cognitive competencies, emotional competencies, and social competencies. The program implementation included a cognitive achievement test and practical performance observation using an assessment card. The study findings revealed statistically significant differences between pre- and post-application scores in both the cognitive achievement test and observation card, favoring the post-application stage in terms of cognitive and fundamental aspects of competencies. Furthermore, the program based on educational modules demonstrated a significant impact on the development of emotional education competencies.
