Abstract

The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a blended learning-based training program in teaching physics for developing 21st-century skills among second-grade secondary students in the Capital Secretariat - Sana'a. To achieve this objective, the researcher adopted a descriptive and quasi-experimental approach with two groups (control and experimental), employing a pre-test and post-test design. The study sample was selected purposively, consisting of 74 students. The study tools included assessments for 21st-century skills.

After implementing the blended program based on the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) platform and face-to-face study sessions, quantitative and qualitative data were collected and analyzed. The study yielded several key findings, including:

  1. 1. Statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the control and experimental groups in the pre-test and post-test for 21st-century skills, favoring the post-test results of the experimental group.

  2. 2. Additionally, blended learning had a substantial impact on developing 21st-century skills among Second-Grade secondary students.

In light of these findings, the study presented several recommendations and suggestions.
