The Effectiveness of Teaching the Physical Education Curricula Proposed for the Second grade of Primary Education Stage in the Light of their Physical, Skill and Knowledge Needs

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the effectiveness of teaching the proposed physical education curriculum for the second grade of basic education in light of their physical, skill and cognitive needs, on a sample of (50) male and female students from AL-Rasheed Modern Schools in the safety of the capital, Sana'a.


The researchers used the descriptive approach using the survey method by applying pre-and post-measurements. To achieve the research objectives of the physical abilities test battery for the primary stage aged (6-9) years by Drodel Koch, motor skills tests and paper-and-pencil tests for the cognitive aspect were designed, and the research concluded, there were statistically significant differences in favor of the post-measurement in all physical, skill and cognitive variables, except for the fourth question test for second grade boys. The researchers recommended the necessity of activating the proposed curriculum and distributing it to the students of Al- Rasheed Modern Schools, and the possibility of generalizing it in all schools of the Republic of Yemen due to its effectiveness. In developing students' physical, skill and cognitive abilities.
