The Scholar Saleh bin Ali Al-Hamid bin Shaikh Abu baker bin Salem and his Scientific Life (1320 - 1387 AH / 1903 - 1967 AD)

Abstract
The study aimed to introduce the personality of the scholar, Mr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Hamid (1320 - 1387 AH / 1903 - 1967 AD); As a scholar of Hadhramout in particular, and Yemen in general, highlighting the scientific, literary and historical heritage he left behind. Al-Hamid's family and Hadhramout environment had an impact on the formation of his scientific and literary personality. In this study, the researcher used the descriptive and inductive approaches. The study included two sections. The first section dealt with the personal life of Al-Hamid, including: (his name, lineage, surname, birth, upbringing and pursuit of knowledge, characteristics, and death), while the second section dealt with the era of Al-Hamid and his scientific life, including: The era in which he grew up, his most prominent Sheikhs and students, his books and writings.
Through the study, the researcher concluded that Al-Hamid was an encyclopedia. He was a scholar, writer, poet, and historian, who left many works in different arts. Accordingly, the researcher recommends studying this encyclopedic personality from its various aspects, benefiting from the works and writings he left behind, and taking care of what needs to be printed or investigated.
