The Use of Arabic-Language International Media Outlets in Multimedia Coverage of Events in Yemen: A Case Study of RT Arabic

Abstract
The study aimed to assess the level of multimedia utilization by RT Arabic in its coverage of events in Yemen and identify the main topics covered. This was done through content analysis of the site from July 1, 2024, to July 30, 2024, where the total number of news items was 113.
The study falls within descriptive research, it relied on the survey method, using the content analysis tool, and used the multimedia approach.
The findings revealed several key results, including that the site integrated multimedia and Hyperlinks with news content at a rate of 96.46% the results also indicate that RT Arabic provided a diverse range of coverage on Yemeni events, with military and political content topped multimedia use due to the nature of events during the study period, which were primarily military and political in focus.
The site used the inverted pyramid template to cover the events in Yemen to a large extent, at a rate of 92.04%, employing multimedia and hyperlinks.
The conflict frame ranked first in the site's coverage of events in Yemen, as most of the events during the study period were dominated by conflict, and this type is the focus of attention of international media.
