The Effect of the Quality of Work Life on Psychological Capital (A field Study on Yemeni Private Hospitals in Dhamar Governorate)

Abstract

The study aims to know the impact of the quality of work life on psychological capital in Yemeni private hospitals in Dhamar Governorate. The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach and relied on the questionnaire to collect data. The study community consists of private hospitals in Dhamar (10) hospitals and the sample size was (200 individuals) using the stratified random sample method. The data were analyzed and the results were presented using the statistical program spssv28-. The study showed that the quality of work life has six dimensions studied. It appeared that only two dimensions have a statistically significant effect on psychological capital: (healthy work environment ((0.168 and security and stability (0.179). As for the other dimensions (opportunities for growth and promotion, participation in decision-making, leadership and supervisory behavior, and wages and rewards system), no statistically significant effects appeared.


The results of the healthy work environment dimension indicate that the presence of a safe, clean and health hazard-free work environment contributes significantly to the feeling of comfort and psychological security of workers, which enhances their ability to deal with work pressures and improve Their performance. The positive impact of the security and stability dimension indicates that employees' sense of job stability and security from layoffs or external threats contributes significantly to their sense of psychological comfort and reduces feelings of anxiety and tension, which enhances their ability to focus and be creative.
