Sounds, their points of articulation and their characteristics according to Ibn Malik
Abstract
This research examines the articulation points and characteristics of sounds according to Ibn Malik, one of the most prominent linguists of the seventh century AH and a fundamental reference in modern grammatical, morphological, and phonetic studies.
As this topic has not been studied independently, I decided to examine it according to Ibn Malik, and discuss other linguists perspectives
This research aims to enable learners to pronounce letters and words correctly, in terms of articulation points and characteristics. It also contributes to understanding the Arabic language in a correct and scientific way and avoiding confusion.
In addition, studying sounds, their articulation points, and characteristics serves the sciences of the Qur'an and Tajweed. It helps to improve pronunciation and correct common errors, enriching linguistic studies and providing a scientific addition to current phonetic knowledge. In this research, I followed the descriptive-analytical approach, building its general structure around two sections, preceded by an introduction and followed by a conclusion and general indexes
The first section examines sounds and their articulation points, according to Ibn Malik. The second section examines the characteristics of sounds according to Ibn Malik. The conclusion summarizes the research findings, followed by a list of research sources and references

Wars and their psychological traumatic effects on Yemeni children as perceived by children and teachers (exploratory study)
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the level of psychological trauma effects resulting from the war on children in Sana'a, as perceived by both the children and the teachers. The sample was selected through simple random sampling, consisting of 132 students and 103 teachers from the ninth grade, distributed across seven middle schools located near conflict zones. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach to achieve its objectives. A scale was developed to measure the psychological trauma effects. The results revealed that children were exposed to psychological trauma during the war, and the traumatic impact was high across all items of the scale and the total score. No significant differences were found between the children’s and teachers’ assessments of the psychological impact of the war. Both children and teachers agreed on the most severe symptoms, including: wishing the event had not occurred, anxiety, tension, fear, disrupted social relationships, lack of concentration and attention, and academic regression. The results also showed significant differences according to gender, with symptoms being more severe among males. In light of these findings, the study provided a number of recommendations to support children psychologically and educationally under the difficult conditions they are experiencing.

Stone Incense Burner from the Collection of the National Museum in Sana'a (An Archaeological Analytical Study)
Abstract
This research examines and analyzes a stone incense burner from the collection of the National Museum in Sana'a. It was one of the most commonly used offerings and votive offerings in ancient Yemeni temples, for the purpose of burning incense. Its use was associated with religious rituals and ceremonies, as well as for purifying holy sites due to its fragrant aroma, and for expelling evil spirits. The research problem revolves around knowing the distinctive features in the art of carving on the incense burner and the most important themes embodied on its front and the purpose of presenting it in the temple. The importance of the research lies in the fact that the incense burner has not been previously studied and published by any researcher except for the inscription written on the two sides of its base, which was studied by Albert Jam (Ja 2897). In addition to the artistic, linguistic, religious and social data and connotations it provides, the research seeks to study and document the incense burner and the decorative, engineering and written elements it contained, and to extrapolate its artistic, linguistic, religious and social connotations, as it included various decorations consisting of rectangular geometric decorations representing stepped doors, and recessed niches embodying the front of the temples, and religious symbols representing the crescent, the sun disk, the bull’s head and horns, and an inscription with a dedicatory nature, which speaks in its content about the dedication of the owner of the inscription, called Munim, of this incense burner to the goddess (the sun), in her temple called (Mfarsham ), in order to implore the goddess to grant him, his brothers, and their descendants safety, to bestow upon them the harvests and fruits of summer and autumn on their agricultural land, and to protect them from the evils of their enemies. It is worth noting that the name of the temple appears here for the first time in this inscription. Although its location is unknown to researchers and those interested in ancient Yemeni civilization, it is likely that it was located in one of the cities of Al-Jawf, given that the incense burner was found there. To complete this study, the researcher followed a descriptive and analytical approach

Lexical Collocation within the Genitive Construction (Mudaf and Mudaf Ilayh) in Selected Pre-Islamic Poetry: A Syntactic and Semantic Analysis
Abstract
This study examines lexical collocation within the genitive construction (Mudaf and Mudaf Ilayh) in selected Pre-Islamic poetry, aiming to elucidate the linguistic patterns and semantic relationships underlying this phenomenon. The research highlights the syntactic and semantic dimensions of common lexical collocations, providing a systematic analysis of their structural and functional roles. The study is confined to frequently occurring and well-established collocations within genitive constructions . )Mudaf and Mudaf Ilayh) excluding other syntactic frameworks.
The findings of this study reveal the following key insights:
- Lexical collocation functions as a distinctive linguistic feature of Pre-Islamic poetry, facilitating predictable and conventional word associations. While classical linguists did not explicitly categorize this phenomenon, contemporary linguistic theories have recognized its significance under various terminologies.
- The relationship between the genitive construction components (Mudaf and Mudaf Ilayh) is profoundly cohesive, warranting their interpretation as a unified semantic entity.
- The diverse associative patterns observed among collocated words within poetic verses enhance textual cohesion and interconnectedness.
- Collocation serves as an integral mechanism of linguistic cohesion, contributing to the structural integrity and semantic coherence of poetic compositions.

Constraints on the Criminal judge's Authority in Evaluating Electronic Evidence
Abstract
This research examines the constraints on the authority of criminal judges in evaluating electronic evidence, focusing on the Yemeni legal system. It highlights how technological advancements have led to cybercrimes and digital evidence, yet traditional Yemeni laws fail to keep pace, creating challenges in the admissibility and proof of electronic evidence.
The study addresses the legality of electronic evidence, its value in conviction or acquittal, and its legal status in Yemen, along with the applicability of existing legal restrictions. It also explores the impact of digital authenticity on criminal procedures and compares the Latin and Anglo-Saxon systems regarding illegally obtained evidence.
The research concludes that Yemeni laws require updates to address legislative gaps, including enacting a dedicated cybercrime law and amending evidence and criminal procedure laws to ensure the legitimacy and admissibility of electronic evidence.

Request to Initiate an Action in Customs Criminal Cases according to the Yemeni Customs Law
Abstract
The principle is that the criminal lawsuit is entrusted to the Public Prosecution, which raises and exercises it in its capacity as a representative of the social entity and an agent in defending its security and interests, in accordance with the provisions of Article (21) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Despite the validity and effectiveness of this system, the Yemeni criminal legislator has restricted the authority of the competent prosecution to file criminal cases in customs violations and smuggling crimes, by submitting a written request from the head of the Customs Authority or his authorized representative. This request is considered a legal act that must meet substantive and formal conditions, and when issued, it has important legal consequences.
The study sheds light on the true concept of the request to initiate and file a customs criminal lawsuit, its nature, the conditions for its validity and legal effects, the Yemeni legislator’s regulation of this request in the Customs Law, and the statement of the shortcomings, deficiencies and defects that marred its regulation, and the presentation of proposals in this regard.

The Role of Sustainable Leadership in Achieving Strategic Success in Yemeni private universities
Abstract
This study aimed to measure the reality and level of achieving strategic success resulting from the role of practicing sustainable leadership style in (13) private universities in the capital, Sana'a - Yemen. The descriptive analytical approach was followed as it is one of the most used approaches in administrative research, and is appropriate for the nature of this study and achieving its objectives. The questionnaire was designed for data collection purposes, and was applied to a stratified random sample of employees in the universities under study at various administrative levels (senior, middle, direct) amounting to (304) individuals. The data were statistically analyzed using the (SPSS) program. Several results were reached, the most important of which are: the presence of a relatively high level of the reality of both (practicing sustainable leadership style and achieving strategic success) in the universities under study. In addition to the presence of a positive impact of sustainable leadership on strategic success in these universities. It was found that the most dimensions of sustainable leadership that affect strategic success are the long-term perspective dimension, followed by the "social responsibility" dimension, while the least influential dimension on strategic success was the dimension of leading others. Based on the results reached, several recommendations were presented, most notably: the necessity of enhancing sustainable leadership practices in these universities by their academic leaderships through increasing interest in developing human capital and meeting their needs, spreading an organizational culture that supports diversity, developing and updating plans from a sustainable strategic perspective, preparing a cadre to assume leadership positions in the future, and conducting more studies that diagnose societal problems

The Reality of Practicing Transformational Leadership Behavior in Yemeni Community Colleges: A Field Study on Private Community Colleges in the Capital Municipality – Sana’a"
Abstract
This study aimed to explore the actual practice of transformational leadership behavior in private community colleges in the Capital Municipality of Yemen, based on its five core dimensions: idealized influence (role modeling), intellectual stimulation, individualized consideration, motivation, and empowerment. The researchers employed a descriptive-analytical methodology, applying the study to a sample of 59 employees (both male and female) selected from a population of approximately 90 individuals across five private community colleges in Sana’a. Thus, the sample represented 67% of the total population.. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire comprising 48 items, divided into two sections: general demographic information, and specific items measuring the extent of transformational leadership practices across the five dimensions. .The results revealed that academic leadership in these colleges demonstrated a high level of engagement with transformational leadership behaviors, with an overall mean agreement of 76.56%. The idealized influence dimension was found to be the most commonly practiced (79.992%), whereas motivation was the least practiced (73.866% (
Moreover, the analysis indicated a statistically significant positive relationship between transformational leadership behavior and the four dimensions: intellectual stimulation, individualized consideration, motivation, and empowerment. In contrast, no statistically significant relationship was found with the idealized influence (role modeling) dimension.

The ruling on the obligation of making a will to perform Hajj on behalf of the deceased, and is it from one-third or from the capital ?
Abstract
This study examined the ruling on the obligation of a Hajj bequest on behalf of a deceased person and whether it should be from one-third of one's wealth or from one's capital. The researcher compiled relevant jurisprudential rulings and studied them in a jurisprudential manner. During this study, the researcher relied on scientific research methods, including: the inductive method in extrapolating the opinion of jurists of the five schools of thought regarding the ruling on the obligation of a Hajj bequest and their evidence for that, and whether it should be from the third or the capital? The analytical method in analyzing the legal texts and the texts of jurists, and the deductive method in deriving the rulings related to the issue under study.
The study aims to clarify the ruling on the obligation of making a will to perform Hajj on behalf of the deceased, and whether the fee should be in the form of a third or in the capital?
The results of the study indicate that it is obligatory for someone to bequeath Hajj to someone who has the ability to do so, but has not performed the Hajj obligation that God has made obligatory upon him until death approached him, because a bequest of God’s imposed rights is obligatory, and the Hajj that is obligatory by a bequest on behalf of the deceased is most likely to be for a fair wage from all of the money, especially since the text likened performing Hajj to paying off a debt, so it is necessary to resort to it. Also, a bequest for voluntary Hajj or Hajj of a vow is valid, and it is from one-third of the money.

Sensory Learning and Recalling Styles: A Qualitative Case Study of Yemeni EFL College Learners
Abstract
This study aimed to explore the sensory learning and recalling styles of Yemeni college students in the English departments. The study sample was 12 EFL Yemeni college learners, 3 males and 9 females, of the academic year 2022-2023. Sensory learning and recall styles-related interview questions were designed to assess students’ ability to perceive and recall information from their senses. The validity and reliability of the instrument were ensured. The study results revealed that the majority (84%) of the participants preferred to use the visual learning style; however, 60% of the participants preferred to use the auditory learning style. It also revealed that 72% of the participants preferred to use the sensory (visualization speech) and 60% of the participants preferred to use the sensory (verbalization speech). The study revealed the effectiveness of sensory learning and recalling styles on students’ speaking

Mindfulness, psychological resilience, and social support as predictors of posttraumatic growth in university students
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the prevalence levels of study variables and to reveal the relationship between mindfulness, psychological resilience, and social support with post-traumatic growth, in addition to identifying the most important predictors of post-traumatic growth among Sana'a University students. The researcher used the descriptive correlational approach, and the study sample consisted of (524) male and female students from the Faculties of Arts and Humanities and the Faculty of Science, who were exposed to traumatic life events. To achieve the study's objectives, the researcher employed four scales: Mindfulness Scale, Psychological Resilience Scale, Perceived Social Support Scale, and Post-Traumatic Growth Scale. The results showed that the levels of all variables were high among the sample, as the percentages of respondents at the high and medium levels, respectively, for mindfulness (55.2%), (43.3%), for psychological resilience (76.5%), (22.5%), for perceived social support (54.6%), (34.2%), and for post-traumatic growth (56.5%), (39.9%). There were also statistically significant differences between the hypothetical and arithmetic means, in favor of the arithmetic means. The results also revealed statistically significant correlations at the (0.01) level between post-traumatic growth and each of mindfulness (0.43), psychological resilience (0.55), and perceived social support (0.42). The results of the regression analysis indicated that the three variables combined explained (0.41) of the variance in post-traumatic growth, indicating their effective predictive capacity.
