Sensory Learning and Recalling Styles: A Qualitative Case Study of Yemeni EFL College Learners

This study aimed to explore the sensory learning and recalling styles of Yemeni college students in the English departments. The study sample was 12 EFL Yemeni college learners, 3 males and 9 females, of the academic year 2022-2023. Sensory learning and recall styles-related interview questions were designed to assess students’ ability to perceive and recall information from their senses. The validity and reliability of the instrument were ensured. The study results revealed that the majority (84%) of the participants preferred to use the visual learning style; however, 60% of the participants preferred to use the auditory learning style. It also revealed that 72% of the participants preferred to use the sensory (visualization speech) and 60% of the participants preferred to use the sensory (verbalization speech).
