Abstract

The current study aimed to investigate the most important skill determinants for selecting juniors for the national wrestling team in the training centers in Sana’a City. The research sample composed of junior wrestling players who were selected randomly, amounting (30) junior wrestling players in the training centers in Sana'a City. The researchers used the descriptive method and concluded the following:



  • The researchers concluded that some skill determinants have a direct impact on selecting junior wrestlers.

  • Building a model for the skill variables to select junior wrestlers using factor analysis, which enabled researchers to conclude three factors in light of factor accepting conditions and they are as follows:


1-First factor: grip backward.


2- Second factor: grip arms and grab backward.


3- Third factor: throwing grip.
