The Effectiveness of a Program Based on Active Learning in Developing Literary Taste skills among the First Year of Secondary Students in the Capital Sana’a

Abstract

The research aimed to find out the effectiveness of a program based on active learning in developing literary taste skills among the first year of secondary students in the Capital Sana’a"، based on the semi-experimental approach، The research sample consisted of (111) male and female، divided into two groups: an experimental group that studied literary texts using the program based on active learning، and a control group that studied the then same literary texts using the usual method، To achieve the objective of the research، the researcher prepared a list of literary taste skills، a test to measure literary taste skills، and an educational program based on active learning. The results showed of the research revealed in the following:



  • There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post application of the test of literary taste، in favor of the experimental group.

  • There are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) between the mean scores of male and female students of the experimental group in the test of literary taste، in favor of females.
