The Reality of Child Protection in Official Social Care Institutions in Yemen

Abstract

This study aims to identify the reality of child protection in official social care institutions in Yemen. In approaching and presenting the study, the researcher relied on the comparative descriptive approach to address the conceptual aspect, and the statistical approach to address the applied aspect of the study, and used the questionnaire as the main tool for collecting primary data, in addition to a tool Interview and observation: (150) questionnaires were distributed to a purposive sample of workers in official social care institutions In Yemen, and conducting  interviews with the leadership of the targeted institutions, the study reached a set of results, the most important of which is the low reality of child protection in official social care institutions, and the limited services provided, especially protection services during emergencies, in addition to that, the lack of complete coordination between government institutions. To implement child protection programs according to precise and thoughtful plans.
