Extent Availability of Digital Skills in Faculty Members at Hajjah University

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of availability of digital skills of teaching staff at Hajjah University.  The study sample consisted of (78) Participants of the faculty members from different teaching ranks: Professor، Associate Professor، Assistant Professor، Teacher and Reade. They were selected by the simple random method. In order to achieve the objectives of the study، the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (60) items spread across three axes. The results of the study showed that the degree of digital skills availability of teaching staff at University of Hajjah was high، and that the most important in order، (basic digital skills، then intermediate skills، then advanced skills). The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the overall degree and between the members of the sample attributable to the specialization variables and years of experience. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the overall degree and between the members of the sample attributable to the degree variable in favor of the degree assistant professor. The study recommended the need to pay attention to humanities colleges and training for faculty staff in digital skills in order to help them develop their digital skills، and encourage them to use them by providing material and moral incentives.
