Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of teaching a program based on Yager's constructivist model in developing literary text analysis skills among female students in the first grade of secondary school in the Thawra Directorate in the Republic of Yemen، using a quasi-experimental methodology. The research sample consisted of (90) female students، divided equally into two groups: an experimental group that studied literary texts using a program designed based on Yager's constructivist model to develop literary text analysis skills، and a control group that studied literary texts using traditional methods. To achieve the research objectives، the researcher prepared a list of literary text analysis skills، a test to measure literary text analysis skills، and a program designed based on Yager's constructivist model to develop literary text analysis skills among female students in the first grade of secondary school، including an implementation plan to assist the teacher in teaching it. The researcher also prepared a student book. After applying the research tools before and after the program implementation، and ensuring the validity and reliability of the tools، the results showed significant statistical differences at the (05) level between the average scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-test of literary text analysis skills in favor of the experimental group، which is attributed to the effectiveness of the program designed based on Yager's constructivist model.
