Abstract

This study aims at identifying the effectiveness of a proposed program based on the constructivist theory in developing the Nano Technology concepts for students of Chemistry at the Faculty of Education - Sana’a University. The sample of the study consists of (25) students (male and female) from level four of Chemistry at the Faculty of Education - Sana’a University، in which they are chosen randomly and handled during the second semester for the Academic year 2020- 2021. The study adopts the semi-experimental method in the one -group design. To achieve the objectives of the study، the researcher prepares a list of the Nano Technology concepts which consists of (28) concept and builds a program based on the constructivist theory. To measure these concepts، a Nano Technology test consists of (40) items is prepared. After checking its validity and reliability، the program is applied on the sample of the study.  After analyzing the data statistically، the results of the study shows that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) in the before and after applications for the group of the study in the Nano Technology test as a whole and for each level of the after application.


Besides، there is a significant influence for the proposed program which is based on the constructivist theory in developing the Nano Technology concepts for chemistry students at the Faculty of Education - Sana'a University. Based on these results، the study provides a number of recommendations and suggestions.
