The Impact of Organizational Structure on Decision-Making: An Applied Study at the Yemen Petroleum Company

This study aimed to measure the impact of organizational structure, with its dimensions (structures, policies and procedures, and technology), on decision-making at the Yemen Petroleum Company. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach and used a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The study population consisted of all employees in the company's general management at all administrative levels (CEO, Deputy CEO, General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Department Manager, Deputy Department Manager, Section Head, and Specialist), totaling 695 employees. A stratified random sample of 247 employees was selected, and 236 valid questionnaires were returned for analysis. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS and SmartPLS. The results showed a statistically significant impact of organizational structure on decision-making at a significance level of ( 0.05). The study also revealed that the three dimensions of organizational structure influence decision-making to varying degrees. The study recommends updating and simplifying policies and procedures, developing the technological infrastructure that supports decision-making, and enhancing the clarity of authorities and responsibilities to improve the efficiency, speed, and quality of decisions.
