Empowerment and Its Relationship to Achieving Job Engagement Among Employees: An Applied Study on Employees of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sana'a University

The study aimed to identify the relationship between empowerment and job embeddedness among employees at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sana'a University. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach. The study reached several key findings. Foremost among these was that the empowerment dimension was found to be at a moderate level, while the job embeddedness dimension was at a high level. The results revealed no statistically significant correlation between empowerment, with its dimensions (delegation of authority, participation in decision-making, continuous training, self-motivation), and job embeddedness. Furthermore, the results indicated no significant differences in the empowerment dimension across its various sub-dimensions attributable to personal variables (gender, job title, years of experience). However, significant differences were found in job embeddedness attributable solely to the job title variable. The study recommended enhancing the principle of administrative empowerment across its various dimensions and fostering job embeddedness, which would positively reflect on the performance of employees at the studied faculty."
