"The Level of Preventive Awareness of the Risks of Drug Abuse among Yemeni University Students"
The current study aimed to evaluate the level of awareness regarding the risks of drug abuse among Yemeni University Students. It employed a descriptive analytical methodology and administered a questionnaire to a sample of 300 male and female students from various Yemeni universities. The study yielded several key findings most notably.The overall awareness level among university students was moderate، with a mean score of 2.89 out of 5.Statically significant differences were found at the 0.05 level based on gender، favoring females .Significant differences were also observed based on academic disciplines، favoring theoretical field.
Nosignificant differences were foundbased on academic based level .The study recommended intensifying awareness programs about the risks of drug abuse within Yemeni universities، involving students in the design and implementation of these programs، strengthening the role of families، educational institutions، and religious organizations in promoting awareness and providing psychological and social support to students especially those facing psychological or social challenges that may lead to drug abuse.
