The role of Strategic Vigilance in Enhancing Competitive Advantage in Yemeni Public and Private Universities
The study aimed to determine the level of application of strategic vigilance and the level of enhancing competitive advantage. It also aimed to know the role of strategic vigilance in enhancing competitive advantage in Yemeni public and private universities. The study used the descriptive, analytical and correlational approach. The questionnaire was also used as a tool to collect the necessary data for the purposes of this study.
The study community is represented by all academic and administrative leaders, numbering (2033) in the governmental and private universities under study. The stratified random sampling method was used to select the study sample members. The questionnaire was distributed to (1350) individuals from the study sample, and (1232) valid questionnaires were recovered for analysis, representing (91%) of the sample. After conducting statistical analyses, the study concluded that: The level of practicing strategic vigilance was at a “somewhat high” level, and that the reality of achieving competitive advantage was at a “somewhat high” level of practice in Yemeni universities from the point of view of the sample members. The study also concluded that there is a strong and positive influence relationship between strategic vigilance and advantage.
