The Impact of Strategic Vigilance on Institutional Performance: A Field Study of Investment Institutions in the Yemeni Agricultural Sector"

The study aimed to investigate the impact of strategic vigilance and its dimensions on the institutional performance of several investment institutions operating in the Yemeni agricultural sector. The study adopted a descriptive analytical method, focusing on a population consisting of all employees in senior and middle management and specialized positions. A stratified random sample of 184 individuals from these job categories was selected. To collect data, a questionnaire was designed specifically for the study, and the data were statistically analyzed using the (SPSS v28) program, employing descriptive and inferential statistical methods to measure the study objectives and test its hypotheses.


The results showed a high level of strategic vigilance among Yemeni agricultural investment institutions, as well as a somewhat high level of institutional performance in these entities. There was a statistically significant positive impact of strategic vigilance across its various dimensions (technological, competitive, commercial, and environmental vigilance) on institutional performance.


The study recommends enhancing institutional performance in Yemeni agricultural institutions by developing effective strategies for anticipating environmental changes, establishing a comprehensive system for collecting and analyzing information, improving customer service strategies, creating a periodic performance evaluation system, and developing employee capacities through specialized training programs.
