The Role of Cybersecurity as a Protection Mechanism for E-Government Pillars"An Applied Study on Yemeni Government Organizations
This study aims to investigate the role of cybersecurity as a protection mechanism for e-government pillars in Yemen. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology, utilizing a questionnaire consisting of (43) items distributed across several Yemeni government organizations for data collection. After verifying the validity and reliability of the instrument, it was applied to a research sample of (320) employees within the targeted organizations.
The study concluded that Financial Services (Bill Payment) is currently the most implemented pillar, with an average score of (4.14). Future aspirations are primarily focused on the establishment of a specialized security apparatus for cybersecurity protection, which received an average score of (4.46). Based on these findings, the study recommends the necessity of integrating cybersecurity strategies into the core of national digital transformation plans.
