"The Role of Human Resource Management in Enhancing Organizational Citizenship Behavior in International Humanitarian Organizations Operating in Yemen"
This study aims to identify the role of Human Resource Management (HRM) in enhancing Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) within international humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen. It analyzes the relationship between HRM practices (planning, organizing, recruitment, and development) and employees’ OCB. The study adopted a descriptive-analytical methodology and was applied to a stratified random sample of 186 employees out of a total population of 361 working in three international organizations in Sana’a: the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, and the World Food Programme (WFP). The results revealed a high level of HRM practices and OCB overall, with some variation among their dimensions. Furthermore, the findings indicated a statistically significant relationship between HRM practices and OCB. The study recommends strengthening HRM practices, involving employees in development plans, and improving organizational structures and recruitment policies to enhance loyalty and job stability.
