Perception of Some of Agricultural Extension workers to the Importance of the Agricultural Extension Areas and Their Training Needs Assessment (Case study)

The population of the study were (39) respondents who attended the training programs during 2009, data was collected through a questionnaire that was specially designed for assessing the study objectives, the frequencies, percentages, mean, standard deviation, and Borich model to estimate, analyze, and interpret the results. The most important results of the study were that the majority of respondents (84.61%) had knowledge of the agricultural extension areas and were moderately full, 82% of the respondents recognized the importance of the indicative areas of work that significantly and very important, and 64.1% of the respondents their ability was in both medium and low level. The study shows that the degree of the respondent's training needs assessment was in the field of development, maintenance, and use of natural resources (5.4 degrees) as first training needs, then the area of raising the efficiency of marketing of agricultural products (4.90 degrees), and finally the development and A positive significant relationship was found at the level of (0.05) between the degree of knowledge and age and educational level and the value of the correlation coefficient was (0.296 and 0.359). A negative significant relationship at the level of (0.01) between the degree of knowledge and the date of the last course participated. The value of the correlation coefficient was (-0.374) and with a negative relationship at the level of (0.05) between the degree of knowledge and the number of training courses, the value of the correlation coefficient was (-0.180). A positive significant relationship between the degree of perception at the level of (0.05) and the educational level, the value of the correlation coefficient was (0.321), and a positive perception relationship between the degree of ability of the respondents at the level of (0.05) and between specialization and the value of the correlation coefficient was (0.309).
