Psychological Capital among Medical and Health Sciences Students at Al-Hodeidah University
The present study investigated the level of psychological capital among students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Al-Hodeidah University and examined differences according to gender and academic specialization. A self- developed psychological capital scale was administered to a sample of 250 students. The results indicated relatively high levels of self-efficacy, hope, and resilience, with hope ranking highest, followed by resilience and self-efficacy, whereas optimism was found to be low. statistically significant differences were observed between males and females across all dimensions of psychological capital. However, statistically significant differences were found. in self-efficacy, hope, resilience, and the overall psychological capital score according to specialization, favoring laboratory and nursing students, while no significant differences were detected in optimism. Additionally, no significant between gender and specialization were identified.
