New Sabaean engraving “Investigation and Study”

Abstract

The engraving was found in the Bite Al-Shutbi in the eastern quarter of Sanhan. it is located in the northern side of the Naad city, and 20 km away from it. On the eastern side, historic Gyman is located and 6 km away from it. The embossing consists of seven lines. The length of embossing is 30 cm, the width is 24 cm. The length of letters is (3,30 cm) and the distance between lines is (8mm) which was written in the Al-Balk stone. It is one of embossing of vows and offerings emissions that talks about the dity Hajar which is specific of Gyman. the Hajar engraving was damaged from the top of its part, which leds to loss the name of the owner of the engraving, the kind of offering that is given to the dity Hajar, and it talks about the praising to dity Hajar who brought   them about abundant crops and praying to the dity to give them safety, grace and satisfaction of the masters, bany Thy- Gyman.
