Aims and Scope

The Sana'a University Journal of Medicine and Health Sciences (SUJMHS) aims to disseminate high-quality original research, reviews, and scholarly communications that advance knowledge and practice in medicine and health sciences at national, regional, and international levels.

The journal provides a multidisciplinary platform for clinicians, researchers, and health professionals to share findings that contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases, as well as the promotion of public health and healthcare systems.

Author Guidelines

Originality: The paper must be new, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors must state this explicitly.

Formatting: Font size 14 (Simplified Arabic) for Arabic papers and 12 (Times New Roman) for English, single-spaced. Titles and subtitles in bold 16, body text 14.

Structure: Title → author names and current addresses → Abstract → Introduction (objectives, materials & methods, results, discussion, conclusions, references). The research site and duration must be stated.

Abstract: 150–300 words, accompanied by keywords.

Length: Manuscripts must not exceed 15 printed pages in the journal's official format; longer submissions will not be considered.

Figures & Tables: Numbered consecutively in parentheses, with captions below.

References

References are placed at the end of the paper in the order of their appearance. In-text citations use square brackets, e.g. [16].

Journal example: [16] F. Thabit, A. AlKelly, and M. Shukri, "Propagation of fully and partially coherent flat-topped multi-Gaussian beams through axicons," JOSA A 37, 759–767 (2020).

Book format: surname in capitals, comma; first initial + period; middle initial + period; multiple authors separated by semicolons; title in italics + period; edition, publisher, country, year, and page count, each followed by a comma.

Only references from reputable, peer-reviewed journals indexed in recognized databases are accepted. References from predatory or non-peer-reviewed sources constitute grounds for rejection.

Figures & Images

All figures must be submitted in their original high-quality format, at least 300 pixels, as EPS or PNG files, and named by their figure number (e.g. Figure1.png, Figure2.eps).

Compress all figure files into a single ZIP or RAR archive and submit them as an attachment with the manuscript.

Failure to follow these guidelines may delay the review or production process.
